When I first went to China (10years ago) I was effected strongly by the numbers of young guys and girls standing on the street and trying to create something to sell, they did it in order to survive and to achieve few dollars. In the middle of them there were also somebody who was producing fashion clothes, mainly using very famous already existing labels, the well known as "FAKES".  In the last years the scene hasnt changed, but to be honest I get impressed by something Ive seen with my eyes during my last stay in Beijing...

(the above pic has been taken from an amazing book, for us the Bible of the most innovative Fashion ideas, "50" the book of Renzo Rosso's planet, Diesel)

I was walking in a very famous markets area, stopping each five steps in order to give a look at clothes creations made by young street designers... when I suddenly collide against two women. After the classic "sorry sorry", we started to talk and I realized they were designers from Paris, they were actually doing what I was doing...  "research"   ;-D

this short story must teach something...  if (for example 10years ago) Asia was only copying and not creating, today there are special asian-niches who appreciate design and  try to express themself as all the designers worldwide...  and moreover there are designers coming from the "Mecca" of fashion, like Italy or France, who goes around asia to get inspirations!  Actually thats what happen since ever but no-one famous designer admits...  they all like to tell stories about inspiration got only in places like Los Angeles, London and Paris...  or Tokio.  We mean, fashion addicted, be ready and awake in the next 10 years... and let see who's gonna copy next?!
