Whitin two weeks the Uneeto F/W09-10 collection will be inside our 8 Italian showrooms and soon abroad as well. The styles are 42 and same as usual the woman take the bigger % scene!
Color choices are a bunch of 27 warm shades, 21 in 70%MerinoWool/30%Cashmere & 6 in 100%Cashmere. The styles are mixed in various Knit-gauges, with several options available (14gg,12gg,7gg,5gg,3,5gg). Here below a woman's style dress, we like it a lot, what do you think?! Check also the long ribbed sleeve, its really chic in order to attend elegant parties where you will dress your favourite haute-couture brands...  mix uneeto wherever you want!

We lean back...  just arrived in Italy yest eve and the new Collection FW09-10 has been sourced out, forty-two new pieces produced in two different yarn contents (100%cashmere & 70%merino-wool/30%cashmere), the colors are twenty-seven different choices, available as usual in low minimum quantity though, start to brighten your eyes dudes, same as we have done after the first sale-samples came out, check my face...



For those shops who have bought our first collection SS09, dont worry...  your esteemed sweaters are almost done, on 5 Dec the production will get over and well...  our pleasure to deliver the first collection into your hands, thats actually an outlook of your goods from a beginning-stage, lets say when those were just embryos...



The new spot visited this time in Beijing has been the famous Chinese Circus, an amazing show of artists and tumblers who really let us stay with such a suspense for all the show, what we really liked has been the fact that these young acrobats really find their strenght helping each other in all their exercises...  its a kind of Uneeto's philosophy, beeing unite we can all succeed !!!  Check below where the show was acting and what a great bunch of young people China-Circus is...

At Uneeto we extremely wanted this talented music artist as "the face" of our first S/S man collection! He is totally online with our selling target... ingenious, odd, well known, winning !

Hi Edoardo, what's up??
Hi, what can I say... its been quite curious when Matteo asked me If I wanted to be photographed for Uneeto; I never did such things and I don't even like that much being in pictures. Anyway, as usually happens during this unusual occasions I had fun, that's it.

Lets speak about you and Telestar
I met Marco and Remo at the secondary school, Francesco joined us few years later but since then the circle is closed. At that time we were just kids, but I clearly remember me singing, or better to say "shouting" -what's the story morning glory- and dreaming with a Bob Marley bangle around my neck and -champagne supernova- in my mind ....then Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, these bands were our parents, we knew every single word of their lyrics...even if we couldn't pronounce properly "hello" in English... There were no MP3 and I used to go to school with my CD player and that giant headphones always on my head... It all started from there! Then the music passion turned into real stuff and we all started to study an instrument...
I put on the guitar, Marco sit at the drum and Remo at the piano. He learned from his dad, a musician too; legends say that he played with Chet Baker, and also that he found the Paul McCartney's bass outside The Fab Four's concert in Rome... Quite a interesting character to learn from, ah?!

As a band, what about your first performances and free time together?!
Live concerts, small clubs, many hours sharing dreams and beers, writing songs, and trying to find our identity...our sound; many compliments and tons of criticisms.
We have always been strong, never give up!

Ive heard a story where you almost record an album, tell us more!
Yes that's true, we have been really close to have our 1st album produced ...but at the end didn't work out; same classic Italian story... after 4years spent recording, we couldn't mix our artistic ideas with our old record label's ones... Now its quite fun how everything can change in a beat...

Few days ago we have received a cool new... we have won a music contest for new bands, the well known "Cornetto free music festival"
On 15th December we will open as support band the Zucchero Fornaciari's concert!!! acting at the Mandela forum in Florence.
We will face this stage as Telestar usually do, without expectation and without fear.
It could be definitively "a morning glory"... about 10.000 people will be there, will you be there?!?!

Usually fashionistas dont understand whats behind every collections, everybody think only about the creative side of this job, designers, trend-setters etc etc...  and then they think cloths born suddenly, mmh...  everybody wanna be stars or designers and nobody understand whats the real effort behind each creations and especially where and how the story begins...  we were thinking about it today cause we have started to color our cashmere/silk/cotton raw materials and even if the outlook of a yarn-industry isnt glamour as to sit in a yacht outside Portofino, we think you must be able to stay and deal with both the spots...  dudes, check where your future sweaters are borning...

 

well actually we've already started with the first color, now we are spinning it and the color is Pantone 19-4027 TCX, check it here...

 

when we need a break we just step outside the factory and watching the sky we notice that, our two china-italy flags embracing as lovers and we proudly say: <<my gosh what we have done>>

What can we say, Paris c'est Paris! We have visited again la Ville de la Lumière, the task: visiting expos and shops. Landing at Orly we touched the Hotel and early after we jump into a really cool party by Stella McCartney , rock band playing, really 70' location, our super sister- friend Poshettina was there with her super trendy entourage...  in few words the perfect eve.

a big patchwork of colors were dressing the columns...  nice outlook.

Premiere Classe looked definitively less statuesque but not less "onwards", we loved the settings cause those were really similiar to our color-concept presentation; a list of long panels showing Pantone colors with every codes-name, give a look...

 

One more spot we really liked was the super trendy shop Le 66 Champs Elysées ! The same wonderful location spreads into three sides and very modish cloths, shoes and accessories inside. Thats the window we liked most...

 

another brand here following try to color its garments using dyes... no way, we do it better  ;-)

 

jokes apart the idea looks great, thats what technically we call "piece dyed"

Useless to mention...  Colette was always there and what we loved most has been its great Nike wall... what a view, what a place!  

At the end the short round trip has gone, Paris gives always something to remember especially when you travel with close friends, this time Edoardo and Ciampa (senior) have been the biz-mates!  (Ciampa more party than Biz but its Ok...) 

After a fast visit at our friend's super-cool-showroom "Corto Moltedo" we jumped back into our flight, direction: Italy a.k.a the boot

with these expos its closed the S/S09 selling season, we totally understand that colors made the scene everywhere, from Milan to Paris.  Actually autumn begins and what we can do now is to dress our old sweater-prototypes made in 100% Cashmere!  Those that let us started, those that many friends bought without our labels on...  those where the uneeto story begun.

Great Mr.Steve, you also noted market was asking for colors and here above your reply, congrats!  Apple as Uneeto (pro rata) realize the same people needs...  dig it?!

 

Just back from Milan, a week of shows, parties, expos and the classic scenes usually standing-up during this period. Models walking quickly, traffic jams, buyers, curious and whatever fashion industry attires, someone would say... same as usual?!?!  We say... No!

We notice a different buyer's attitude, obv depending from the actual worldwide economy situation... even fashion industry suffers this economy-bug, but we personally think that this scenario will let think the final consumers in a better way and accordingly even retailers.        I really believe what Ive read on "View Magazine" as explained by Mr.D.R.Shah: As consumers tighten their belts, the business argument is that they will "buy less but buy better". They wont spend fortunes in strato-brands, but they will look for and will pay for perceived quality and difference. Uneeto totally agrees with this speech, we are almost stopping our sales for S/S09 and this exactly the reply we had from our new customers... everybody search finally for quality and not only top-lables. Consumers realize what does it mean to "select" and "be proud" while using certain cloths, not only thinking about the classic overexpose labels...

We are now fixing the last details and we will start to produce the S/S collection that will be delivered at the end of January 09, we are still in Florence, we are thinking and planning next steps, we focus on market's needs and people style-requirements, in few words we daily struggle as you all do... soon we'll go back to meet Jin in our China-factory, Uneeto means to be unite and not only in colors!

Meanwhile I please myself looking at Florence, take a look...

At uneeto we are facing a week of shootings and this time is Lior Graetz the face! 21 years old, studying fashion-marketing at Polimoda in Florence. Just the time to touch the italian ground again, after months spent in Uk staging at Tod's, and we gave her the job!

From our point of view, she moves cool and represent young generations in the groove. She pose in a double-face shirt and in a green hoody sweater, both made in *85%Cotton/15%Cashmere *and the colors are Ashgrey 16-3802TCX, Estate Blue 19-4027TCX , Kelly Green 16-6138TCX.
